How's It Hangin'

How's It Hangin' Game

What level of confidence do you have in your hip thrusting technique? You can play a variety of games by draping everyday items from your waist with a string. Swing a weight like a croquet mallet and knock a ball into a goal with the momentum provided by your thrusts. Make your buddies jealous with your precise hip movement, or make them laugh when you lose control of your swinging connection.

You will need

  • String
  • A banana. Other items may be used as well. Everything you need is a weight that you can hang between your thighs.
  • Two oranges. Tennis balls, or any other ball of equivalent size, would also suffice.
  • A hula hoop is optional.

Set-Up

  1. Tie the string around your waist so that the end dangles down from your pelvis to the floor in front of you.

  2. Tie (or otherwise secure) the string's hanging end to the end of a banana. The banana should be several inches off the ground when you're standing. You now have a banana mace in your hands that you can swing around by turning your hips.

  3. Place oranges near you on the field.

  4. On the other side of the building, draw a target area on the ground. This may be a simple string circle on the board. A hula hoop is an excellent choice. The thickness of the hope makes getting the oranges over it more difficult. To overcome this obstacle, more powerful hip thrusts will be needed.

Rules

The goal is to knock the oranges into the target area by swinging the banana between your legs. Aim with an orange a few inches in front of you, swing your weight forward, and the banana should be propelled ahead of you, potentially batting the orange along the ground in the desired direction.

Return to the target area after one orange has been placed there, and repeat the process with the second fruit. You've achieved when both oranges are in the target area!
